Anniversary At Castle Hill Resort Vermont - Part 1 Kittycation

Well, our Anniversary was around the corner and we were planning for a trip to New Zealand but, I didn't want to travel much on this year end due to some reasons (which I would let you know in coming weeks 😁). Since we visited warmer place last year (which was Miami FL), this year I wanted to go somewhere chiller. So we decided VERMONT. We wanted to stay somewhere romantic, so we were going through Trip Advisor and Groupon for the accommodations.

Castle Hill Resort And Spa was just perfect for a romantic and luxurious winter getaway in the Green  Mountains of Ludlow, Vermont, close to Okemo Mountain Ski Trails. Castle Hill Resort is a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels Of The World, Historic Hotels Of America and is also listed on the National Register Of Historic Places.

We started a day before our Anniversary as it was 7 hours drive from our place. Since it is winter by the time we reached to the Castle Hill Resort it was already dark outside and it was snowing (it was just 4 PM in the evening). We checked at the Pointe At Castle Hill which was next to the Castle Hill Resort, then drove over to the castle. This old mansion has a lot of character, loved the old doors and dark wood throughout. Once we entered the castle, we were floored when the young lady said Happy Anniversary. She led us up to the room and welcomed us with a bottle of Champagne.

The rooms were very much in keeping with the castle theme, with a fireplace (these fireplaces do not work unfortunately) and the Jacuzzi Tub. Since it was a long drive we were damn hungry but the Castle Restaurant doesn't start the dinner until an hour. So, we let the champagne chill and headed to have our dinner in Ludlow.

The next morning we were down stairs for our Anniversary breakfast and later the hostess told us the history of the mansion, then relaxed in the library reading books for a while and then headed to the pool at the spa.

For the breakfast that morning I wore this comfortable sweater from Forever 21 and paired it with white jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch and the coat from Nordstrom. For the boots I wore this ankle leather ones from Steve Madden.
