I Gave Birth On My Birthday (My Labor & Delivery Story W/ My First Baby)
6:09:00 AM
Hey guys, I know I have not posted anything since 2 weeks or so and that's because I gave birth to a little angel Kiara 💖. This was the reason kinda where I have been and this is the longest break I have taken from posting anything on my blog since I started blogging.
I was all fine and fit until the October 10th and my due was on October 9th. My contractions were not that strong and my baby was way too low, so my OBG wanted me to wait for one more week (since I wanted to go all natural without any epidural) to induce me, that was on October 19th. On october 12th my contractions started to get stronger but it was not that constant, so I was just waiting for the contractions to get more frequent so that I can go get admitted in the hospital.
Since it was my birthday the next day on October 13th and I had to run some errands so, by the time I was back home my contractions were more stronger and frequent. I followed the 511 rule suggested by my OBG where if you get contractions for 1 min long and are 5 min apart for an hour then I have to get into the labor. I called my OBG and she asked me to get to the hospital as soon as possible and get admitted in the Triage.
Jeet was out planning for my birthday for that night and I was in complete pain. On October 12th 11:55 pm when Jeet was about to get the cake out I asked him to rush me to the hospital and I was unable to bear the contractions. So, well my birthday started in the car where we were rushing to the hospital.
Once I was in the hospital I was admitted in the Triage and was monitored for almost 2 hours. My contractions were hitting high but they kept me in the Triage for almost 5-6 hours as the labor and delivery rooms were full due to many deliveries and inductions that day. Once they moved me to the delivery room which was around 5 am, my water broke around 6:30 am and my pains started more frequent and stronger. I was only 4 cm diluted so I had to wait until I am 9 cm.
Finally around 2:00 pm my OBG asked me to start pushing and trust me it was just beyond what I actually expected. Once I started pushing just in 7 min they could view the baby's head so the doctor asked me to push harder so that the process would get easier and faster. In just 20 min Our baby has arrived to the world and once they put her on me all the pain has just vanished and I got the best BIRTHDAY present I can ask for, thats OUR baby girl KIARA.
